ABOUT US

Dr Cara Wong
MClinNeuro, PhD, MAPS
Founder, Director and Clinical Neuropsychologist
"The Wholistic Brain & Mind is an evidence-based neuropsychology service that addresses the brain, the mind and the body in its totality and not as individual pieces in the puzzle."
Cara is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who is passionate about using neuropsychology assessments in a more wholistic way to empower people to understand more about their brain, the power of neuroplasticity, and the link between brain, mind and body. She is committed to using a therapeutic assessment framework and neuro-affirming practices, ensuring a safe, warm and inclusive environment for all clients.
Cara has over a decade of experience in the private practice and public sector working with clients with a range of neurological, neuropsychiatric, developmental and neurodivergent conditions across the lifespan. Prior to her training as a neuropsychologist, Cara worked as a research psychologist in the fields of health/cognitive psychology and rehabilitation, and completed a PhD in brain stimulation (rTMS and tDCS). Cara founded the Wholistic Brain and Mind in 2019 after moving to the Northern Rivers region, and MINDS multidisciplinary service in 2025.
In her spare time, Cara loves traveling, yoga, music, playing guitar, dancing, spending time in nature, food, and being the mother to two fun and energetic kids!
