MINDS is a private multidisciplinary team passionate about helping individuals and families access and navigate a complex healthcare system, from assessment through to a diagnosis of diverse complex neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. We offer a same-day assessment at one location by a team of experienced and neuro-affirming professionals, helping clients and families get answers and guidance.

What We Offer:

A single point of contact to access psychiatric and other multidisciplinary allied health assessments for children (over 4 years old) and adults (up to 65).

A one-day clinic model at the Southern Cross University (SCU) Health Clinic in Lismore

Each client will meet with specialists in:

Medical Assessment – To understand developmental, medical and mental health history

Autism-Behaviour Assessment – To assess social skills, sensory processing, and behaviour
-
Cognitive Assessment – To identify cognitive and learning strengths and need
-
Speech & Language Evaluation – To understand communication development
-
(Optional) Occupational Therapy Assessment – For insights into motor and daily living skill

Consensus Meeting - After assessments, our experienced team works together to reach a consensus and provide clear, practical recommendations to support your child’s development.

A comprehensive report and treatment plan fed back to individual/family via a Telehealth consultation with one of our clinicians, and the referrer within 3 weeks.​
